1934 U.S. Program

(Merion's 1st U.S. Open)

Presented here is an authentic original program from the 1934 U.S. Open, which was held at famed Merion Golf Club. Merion has long been considered one of the United States' classic courses, and its fame seem to soar even greater after last year's successful hosting of the U.S. Open. But the first time Merion ever hosted a U.S. Open was in 1934, when the best professionals in the world took their turn at Merion for the first time. The 1934 U.S. Open was won by the late Olin Dutra.

This marks the first occasion that we get to sell this beautiful program. The program is listed in GilChrist's Guide to Golf Collectibles at $2,000, though program values have skyrocketed since that price guide was published in 2006.

The cover of the program has some creases and condition issues to note, though the visual appeal of this rare program is still very strong. And, of course, with a program this rare, condition issues are somewhat irrelevant.
