1920's "Bromford Man"

Advertising Figure

Offered here is without question one of the most significant golf advertising pieces in existence. This piece – along with the others offered in this auction – are being consigned today from one of the greatest advertising collections in the world. Like most of our consignor’s collection this isn’t just any piece – this is quite possibly the finest Penfold/Bromford golf figure in the world.

For the last three decades, our consignor has sought out the finest golf advertising pieces in existence. The offered piece is one of the highlights of his collection. The “Bromford Golfer” was produced in the 1930’s in very limited quantities – with similar figures also being produced bearing the “Penfold” moniker.

Our research indicates that past examples of the “Bromford Golfer” have fetched between $2,500 - $8,000. But this isn’t just any example – this appears to be the finest Bromford Golfer that anyone has ever seen.

Everything about this piece is authentic and original. The piece is untouched and original, and even comes with its original pipe.

If you’ve never seen the Bromford Golfer in person, the first thing that strikes most collectors is just how large it is. The pieces measures out at over 20” tall and 8 ½” wide.
