Possibly Unique 1930s Photograph of
Award Given To Bobby Jones Upon Winning
Grand Slam
This is one of
the coolest photos you will ever see of an award bestowed upon Bobby Jones
for winning the Grand Slam. This original circa 1930-1931 oversized
photograph depicts a trophy-like award that contains the actual golf balls
used by Bobby Jones in his four Major Championships during the 1930 Grand
Slam victories! Not only have we never seen this photograph before - we also
know nothing about the award that is pictured. Surely such a piece of
memorabilia would be worth tens of thousands of dollars!
This original circa 1931 photograph measures 10 1/4" x 13
1/4" and is still in its original frame which measures 15" x 18".
