Offered here is an ornate "Horton Smith" golf trophy from 1929. This trophy, which must've been a gift from Horton Smith himself, is engraved as follows:
"Hoping that this trophy will further stimulate the interest of the ladies of the Rochester Country Club, Rochester, Minn. in the ancient and worthy game of golf. -Horton Smith, Joplin Mo. August 1929"
This beautiful trophy measures 12.5" tall with a 4" base. It is hallmarked sterling silver.
