The letter is on Augusta National Golf Club stationary and in the letter Bobby Jones invites the great Bobby Locke to attend the 1949 Masters Tournament and mentions that the formal invitation would follow shortly. And guess what, included in this lot is that exact 1949 Masters invitation as well! The fact that these two pieces have been saved - and together - is quite extraordinary. And that fact that it involves the great Bobby Locke and the historic 1949 Masters Tournament (when the first Green Jacket would be awarded) makes this piece truly significant.
