Offered here is one of the rarest and most coveted golf balls in the world - Willie Dunn's Stars and Stripes. This ball was produced in the 1897 for the new (and fast growing) American market. It is currently believed that 8 examples are known to exist - with the offered example ranking #2 of 8 in grade. Simply put, its condition is breathtaking. It retains nearly 100% of its original paint, and that paint is white! Just this past December we offered for auction another Willie Dunn Stars and Stripes ball. It was not nearly in the condition of the offered ball (though it was still very nice), and it brought $25,330 at auction.
