This is a sterling silver 1910 golf trophy from Ardsley Country Club in New York. Ardsley was designed by Willie Dunn in 1896, and was built for the cost of $1 million - far and away the most expensive golf course ever built at the time. Ardsley is also famous for the pedigree of its course designers. In addition to Willie Dunn, Donald Ross worked on the course in 1917, Alister Mackenzie in 1928, and Robert Trent Jones in 1965. This 1910 sterling silver trophy stands 6 1/2" tall.
