A truly exquisite hand painted full tea set from 1923. The tea set depicts hand painted scenes of Gleneagles' King's Course, a James Braid design which opened to great acclaim in 1919. Gleneagles has always been a first class resort, so it is no surprise that this ornate tea set was commissioned by them.
Each of the saucers in the set is signed "Gleneagles," and the tea cups have names of the holes on the King's course - Braid's Bravest, Bonnie Blink, Heich. O. Fash, Kittle Kink, How O Hope, and Het. Girdle. The demitasse spoons are hallmarked Sheffield 1923 by Martin Hall & Co., Ltd.
