At the 1956 Canada Cup, the American Team of Ben Hogan and Sam Snead dominated the field in the team competition - finishing 14 strokes clear of the field. Hogan also won the individual title - five stroked ahead of 2nd place finisher Roberto De Vicenzo. De Vicenzo played for Mexico, not his native Argentina, at the '56 Canada Cup - allowing two other Argentinians to play for their country.
