Offered here is the rare Wilson Crolf Duplex Club. Crolf was a (short lived) hybrid between croquet and golf. Its creator, John D. Wilson of Illinois, applied for its patent in 1921 and finally received it in 1925. According to his patent, Wilson was seeking a "new and useful improvements in golf sticks." The Clubmaker's Art (2nd Edition), p. 688 by Jeffery B. Ellis. According to Ellis, "some collectors find it one of the most interesting clubs to evolve from golf."
