Offered here is a circa 1905 Bradbeer Patent (applied for) steel faced "Peggy" wooden driver. This "steel faced" driver is actually a series of 15 screws in the face. According to Jeff Ellis, Bradbeer claimed this allowed the golfer to hit the ball 10 yards farther than an ordinary club. Very good condition.

This club originates from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and this exact club was featured in his books The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 1, p. 329; TCA 2, p. 404). This club has not reached the collector market since its sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
