Offered here is a circa 1923 Jordan Patent "Lamino" driver with laminated head and shaft. According to The Clubmaker's Art, the Jordan "Lamino" was the first laminated wood clubhead ever commercially produced. In addition to a patent on the laminated head design, a second patent was secured for a laminated shaft. The offered club has both Jordan's laminated head and shaft. The Clubmaker's Art goes on to state that this "is one off three known examples of this club." Overall excellent condition.   

This club originates from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and this exact club was featured in his books The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 1, p. 356; TCA 2, p. 436). This club has not reached the collector market since its sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
