"A. Knox" is stamped in italics on the top of the head of this circa 1875 middle spoon. While the identity of A. Knox remains unknown, he is known as the only clubmkaer to mark his name in itallics. His clubs are rarely seen and exceptionally appealing.
This particular example features a thinner-than-usual shaft for its era and a beautifully hooked face. The original 40 3/4" shaft still retains its oversized sheepskin grip and grip whipping at both the top and bottom. Outstanding!
