Offered here is a fine Alex Patrick short spoon. Patrick proved to be one of the great names in clubmaking during the second half of the 19th century.
Born in 1849, Alex Patrick followed in his father's footsteps and worked as a clubmaker in Leven, Scotland, for many years. His Father, John, started working as a clubmaker in Leven in 1847. This Alex Patrick club is a fine example of a short spoon. Its 37 ½” shaft is original asis the coated sheepskin grip. The owner’s initials “J.O.B” are stamped on the shaft. WGHOF Inventory number “306” is discreetly written on the back of the head. Excellent original condition over all.
