You’ve probably heard the phrase “A man who can putt is a match for anyone” but perhaps wondered where it came from. It was coined by Willie Park in the first chapter of this very book, The Art of Putting. Offered here is a rare 1920 first edition autographed by Willie Park Jr. The Parks were to Musselburgh what the Morris Family was to St Andrews. In fact, members of each family played some of the most historic challenge matches against each other for far more money than was ever won in sanctioned golf tournaments. The Art of Putting is a rare book in and of itself with unsigned copies bringing $750+. This book, the rarer blue cover and true 1920 first edition, is signed boldly by Willie Park Jr. himself. Good condition though the cover has some condition issues with staining, edge wear, corner bumps, and wrinkling of the cloth.
