Offered here is a late 1990's Scotty Cameron Tour Bullseye in Oil Can finish for Phil Mickelson.

Vog says: This was one of 72 rare and unusual old school Scotty Cameron tour putters recently consigned to us from a collector in the Deep South! This collector had great taste in putters, buying some of the best Cameron tour putters, many with tour initials. He collected from about 1997 to 2003, and then seemingly stopped collecting-but never sold his collection. When I had the chance to ask him why he stopped collecting, his answer was basically pretty simple: supply of putters like this dried up. It takes an understanding of Scotty's career and his trajectory to understand why. 25-35 years ago, when a player wanted a putter, Scotty often made 2 or 3. Even though they were identical, same shafts, grips, swing weights, etc., there would always be one that FELT best. The player and Scotty has an understanding they'd return the ones they didn't like as much. But between Tiger's US Am win, the 97 Masters, his slam, well, Scotty's tour putters skyrocketed in demand. Tour players knew what they were worth and stopped giving them back! So the supply of putters like this, returned to Scotty by the player (and later sold to the collector's market) just seemingly disappeared.

Our consignor kept good records; the former distributor of Scotty's tour putters who sold this, typically sold him several putters at a time, and sent a letter telling our consignor a little bit about the putter, who it was made for, etc. We have a scan of the original letter from the distributor to our consignor on this particular putter in addition to a recent COA from Scotty. It's rare to have this kind of additional provenance on an older tour putter and should be welcomed by the successful high bidder.

Condition is 9 out of 10, appears to be handled only, baby T grip, circle T cover. 35"
