This c.1875 R. Forgan juvenile play club still has its 39" original shaft and sheepskin grip. Head measures 5 1/4" in length, 1 15/16" in width, 1 1/16" in face depth. Head coated in varnish including face. Damage to the toe has been repaired with a hard filler material, possibly epoxy. This club shows use and wear. It also maintains a nice presence and look of a hand-crafted golf club much older than most. This club would have been the delight of most any young teenage golfer in the 1870s.
