Augusta National Golf Club Driver Headcover

        What an incredible find! When we first learned of Eisenhower's golf bag and clubs, they were sitting in the garage of a family in Augusta, Georgia, where they had resided for years after being passed down in the family for decades. Unfortunately, we were told, the family wasn't all that keen on selling the clubs. Fast forward a few months and we finally have Eisenhower's clubs - and we got them just in time to feature them in our Masters Week auction!

        Every once in a while a piece of Masters or Augusta National memorabilia surfaces that even the experts didn't know existed. Well, this is one such item! Presented in this lot is a custom driver headcover for "President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Augusta National G.C."

        We've never seen any vintage Augusta National headcover like this, let alone one for the President of the United States. Eisenhower liked to keep a low profile when in Augusta and regarding his membership at Augusta National Golf Club. Few Eisenhower-related pieces of Augusta National memorabilia exist, and this headcover is certainly one of the finest known.
