Golf collectors have long considered original signs from Augusta National or the Masters Tournament to be "Holy Grail" pieces. The problem, as you can imagine, is that very few original signs from Augusta National have ever been offered for public sale. But when they do, they sell for top dollar. (See Winter 2014 Auction, Augusta National "Positively No Admittance" Sign sells for $19,628: http://tinyurl.com/ANsign)

As far as original Augusta National signs go, the offered example among the finest ever offered for sale. This sign is truly magnificent, as it captures the ultra-restrictive Augusta National in a perfectly accurate way - telling patrons what NOT to do on the course. And unlike almost all signs at Augusta National, this one even specifically says "Masters Tournament." which is extraordinary.

This wood sign measures 18" x 24", and is believed to date to the early 1970s or prior.
